The twenty-first century will be largely dominated by digital economy and for student to move in line with these changes the will need digital age proficiencies. This calls for the education system to make parallel changes in order to full fill the mission of preparing students for the world beyond the classroom. It is in this light that a comparative study is being carried out between the American vision and what is being done by the Cameroonian educational system as of now as well as suggestions for the educational system to embrace and improve the 21st century skills within the context of academic standards in Cameroon.

Cameroon being part of The global village is fell by a minority of the Educational sector. Few Institutions are part of this New technology hence the Impact of knowing other cultures are not really felt. | It will be important for the government to lay Emphasis in seeing that all Students no matter where They may find themselves Be able to benefit education to the fullest possible way in all domains. It will be profitable if all the institutions nation Wide could be connected To the global village to enable the students of the rural areas to be able to interact with other Cultures.
